Frig Productions sponsors Planet River's expiditions
consisting of Rob Wilson (SA), Scott Martin (SA)
and Ine Skjørten (N), will set out on numerous river-expiditions around the Sjoa & Driva area, Norway. These will be documented by words, photo & film, from source to mouth.
Based on the documentation, Planet River
will publish books on these two classic Norwegian rivers.
The idea to explore, document and write books about rivers from source to mouth came on
the successful solo expedition by Rob Wilson winter 2009, travelling the whole length of the
2400km Orange River in Southern Africa
.
This was followed up by the 49 day road and boating SENQU.ORANGE.GARIEP
expedition early 2010. Following these successful
missions, Planet River DA was founded in february 2010.
On the Sjoa & Driva expeditions the team will travel in white water kayaks, canoes, raft
and sea kayaks. A schedule has been made and way-point menus are thoroughly written
down to secure a base for another successful expedition.
